Mysterious Skin is one of those films that really hits you. It’s heavy, raw, and doesn’t shy away from tough topics like trauma and how it sticks with you.
Yeah, the pace is slow at times, but that’s part of the point—it builds up the tension and lets you really sit with the emotions. The ending is tough to watch, but it’s real and doesn’t try to sugarcoat anything. It’s not an easy movie to get through, but once it’s over, you won’t forget it.

Everything about this movie is majestic. The characters make me feel so single ☹️☹️.  I absolutely adore the story, especially the way Joe and Susan love each other it’s so adorable. But the fact that Joe had to leave her makes it unforgettable and deeply dramatic. The only thing I didn’t like was the length of the movie, I felt like it could have been a bit shorter but I still recommend it specially for people who love to cry over movies like me

A stunning blend of sci-fi and raw emotion, this film captures love and loss in a way that feels deeply personal.and the nonlinear storytelling keeps you engaged from start to finish.
But, the ending feels a bit frustrating. After everything they’ve been through, choosing to try again seems almost naive like they’re stuck in an endless cycle. But tbh if i was in their situation I’d do the same thing, still, it’s a beautiful, haunting film that stays with you long after it ends.

A beautifully simple film about love and connection. The natural, heartfelt conversations between the two characters make the film feel deeply personal. The slow pace might not be for everyone, but it perfectly captures the magic of a fleeting moment. The open-ended ending adds to its charm, leaving you with a sense of wonder about love and fate. Before Sunrise is a quiet masterpiece about meaningful connections.
