Does it truly deserve 5 stars? Maybe not, but I don’t even care. I love this movie with all my heart
Tonight, I got to see Cary Elwes in the flesh. My only regret was that I didn’t pay more money to be closer, and see if his eyes really are blue like the sea after a storm.
You will probably think this is meh, but technically skilled, if you haven’t read the book. This naturally cuts so much from the book while it still touches on similar themes, but, most notable to me, the hissing of Gregor to Grete’s playing does not read human anguish but rather animal irritation without Gregor’s inner monologue. That was just my take of this adaption of the famously hard to adapt book. Regardless, I like it, and the use of sand as a medium in animation looks ridiculously difficult so I was impressed by that alone.
I haven’t seen it. Review bombing because I wanted to see it but it has AI images. I don’t care. Fuck using AI instead of paying people.
