I really enjoyed the petty arguing and snappy dialogue, which threatened to bog the movie down but really made the movie roll due to excellent actors (Marisa Tomei is awesome). It looks soooo good compared to movies that are supposed to be fun but still dramatic that are attempted today. An old school movie about old school journalism can’t miss.

Godzilla Minus One 2023
Maybe the best war movie I’ve seen. The only way not to lose is not to play, and your participation affects others who didn’t sign up. I was genuinely moved emotionally multiple times, it’s visually stunning. I wish the monster was made a little more abstract because sometimes the shots of its face kinda ruined the intensity of the experience for me but it was an amazing viewing experience in a theater.

Love and Jazz, conflict and compromise. Sometimes it adds up to be a masterpiece, and sometimes it doesn’t quite work out. The most favorable music might not be so exciting, or brand new every night, but it’s conventional and consistent and you know you’re getting what you expect every time. But sometimes maybe it still is exciting, and sometimes it does feel brand new, and maybe that’s what is really built to last.
