Cuckoo 2024

I was incredibly hyped for this one just based off of the idea alone of Hunter Schafer being in a horror movie. By the first 20 minutes, I was fully in. The visuals, the obvious Twin Peaks inspired setting, the general performances. It was all pretty promising.
There’s just so many threads that go so underutilized. Everything has so little room to breathe. I appreciate that it was not what I was expecting, as far as the formula goes, but it was overall disappointing. It’s rare that I walked away wishing a movie was 35 minutes longer

Dune: Part Two 2024
Despite not having as many issues with part 1 on my rewatch, this still solved some of the problems I had with the first. It definitely has its own, but they’re easier for me to overlook because this movie is just so thrilling. Multiple jaw dropping moments here that are just so cool, especially the Black Sun scene.
