Before Sunrise is my favorite movie of all time. I'm surprised that I haven’t already reviewed it in depth.
This whole movie is just Richard Linklater flexing his ability to write dialogue. There's minimal music in this (and the few uses are all incredible). The camerawork is not complex in any way. It doesn't even visually highlight the beauty of Vienna the way you would think. It's not shot cinematically, it just feels like everyday…
