Midsommar 2019
This film is mentally challenging, it’s also quite disturbing. Very graphics scenes. I think that while the film is about a cult, it also serves as a metaphor for Dani and Christian’a relationship being toxic. The representation of Dani being haunted by the death of her family. Overall, it’s a good film.

Waves 2019
This movie was a lot. It was good but not fantastic. It touches upon important topics like: teen pregnancy, abortion, parent hatred/ pressure, sport injury… The cinematography takes a very artistic side of filming, where the filming in each scene represents the content of the scenes- angry scenes are more shaky and fast etc. The playlist of the movie is also very modern, but also nice.

Entergalactic 2022
This was amazing. The animation was beautiful and so were the vibes. The only thing that I did find disappointing, was the fact that Jabari ( played by Kid Cudi ) was working on animating Mr Rager… so I was expecting to hear the song Mr Rager at least once in the animation, but it didn’t. I feel as though it really would have put it all together. But the animations were absolutely beautiful, along with the storyline.

Orphan: First Kill 2022
This movie is something… The opening scenes managed to put me off pursuing a career in art therapy. It’s not quite a horror film, it does have disturbing scenes, but nothing really frightening. The fact that she looks like a child and has interest in the father serves the purpose to make watchers feel uncomfortable, because it definitely did for me. The plot twist in the film was quite unexpected and hidden and therefore leaves us in a sticky predicament of “ who am I even meant to support now”. Anyways, the film is not extraordinary, it’s quite simple.
