fucking hilarious and heartfelt. what a great message, especially today, about overcoming and standing up to hate, even when it’s all around you. the movie beautifully balances its humor and its tear jerker moments. thoroughly enjoyed watching !

it was kind of just okay. the movie was made up of 18 short stories set in paris, and most of them just felt “meh”. it definitely dragged through most of it—there were a few very good ones that i loved watching and i think carried the movie, but overall the stories felt too short and boring. the movie would be a lot better in my opinion if maybe half of them were cut and the rest were given more time to develop and make us care more about the characters and what they were going through.

i feel devastated a movie hasn’t made me cry like this in a while. music was very sparsely and intentionally utilized, making for a very emotional ending, and the three female leads that were the only characters for the majority of the movie (no men appeared until the very end of the film !!) did an amazing job; the transformation of their relationship once they were alone was great to watch. also adored the subplot with sophie and what she had to go through. overall loved that this this movie was so poignant and rife with meaning about love, memory, and yearning. so so so good
