Scorsese has made a 3-and-a-half-hour slow-burning tragedy (emphasis on slow burning). You witness some of the crimes against Osage Nation from an uneasy perspective. Couldn’t help but feel confused by the internal conflict (or lack thereof) in Ernest, and the fact that Lily Gladstone’s character sits on the sidelines of her own story. Also the FBI doesn’t come in until like 2 and a half hours in.
