Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin 1997
Perhaps the film from my very young childhood that left the deepest impression.
Between this and Jostein Gaarder's book 'Hello? Is anybody there?' learnt about child's philosophy and the subconscious.The first time watching since I was a child I didn't think it would be as visually beautiful as it was. Colours and textures are gorgeous, animation now is just embarrassing though. The way that concepts were addressed reminded me more of silent cinema. This film feels very out of time in general.

To say that there's no montage in this film is quite a limited understanding of montage. Sokurov follows this line from narrative theme park rides to point of view video games and discovers that the early purpose of cutting as a means of changing scene (time) is no longer necessary.
