While I have never worked News, I have worked in the control room for live sports. The idea of a crew like any of the ones I’ve been on taking on a live event like this is viscerally chilling. The lens this film gives to such a horrible event is telling in so many ways.
This is my genre of movie, through and through.Translated from by -
Deaf President Now! 2025
Mr. Blue Sky has never made me cry like this before. What an impassioned reminder that community is power, something we need desperately at this time.
From a cinematic perspective - goddamn. The q+a talked so much about ensuring the Deaf perspective was present and it was overwhelmingly beautiful and compelling.(Q+A with… everyone from the film!! included)

No Other Land 2024
How can you watch something like this and not see how clearly Israel is just doing these acts because they’re being allowed to by the US. This is fascism, genocide. Free Palestine.

We don’t deserve a movie this good, but I’m so glad we have it.

The Brutalist 2024
I don’t feel I have the language to explain what made this film what it is.
It’s breathtaking, the pacing is spot the fuck on, everyone on screen embodies their role as if they were born in to them, the score is perfect, and an intermission so aptly timed?!
It was like experiencing an antique merry go round as a child, getting to ride by yourself for the first time. Picking a horse that goes up and down, the little burst of the joy when waving to your mom every time she passes by, the reminder that while time feels frozen, you’re still moving through it.Translated from by -

Why are there not reprints of the Straight Looking crop everywhere?!
