and i wish i could say more.
There are so many wasted and underutilized ideas that when I think back to this film, all I feel is regret and disappointment, even if it’s actually well-shot and entertaining.
I can’t comprehend how a film about the ethical implications of cloning, a critique of far-right politicians, and—why not—even society’s ostracization of an individual, ended up being developed as a mid sci-fi action adventure focused on comedy, especially coming from this director. Sure, the satire here is nice, but also very banal.
