This is tricky - it predates any film I remember seeing by at least 15 years, and is by all accounts stunning, visually, given that. It's also pretty immediately obvious just how many future films it's inspired. But I rate films on how much I enjoy them to watch, and it took until the last half hour or so before I really started caring…
