Film is cookie cutter. Visuals are awesome. Glenn Powell is very sexy.
The main character is a big nothing most of the movie and ultimately why I gave this movie a 3.5. Actually… all of the characters are a big nothing and played out.
I would have liked to see the movie try and address her trauma more head on. This is what the movie should have been about!!!
Her trauma does not affect her decisions in a realistic way……

Sorry, I unironically love this movie. I can look past all the advertising and I think the bayisms work. The first third of the movie is a great little mystery/ tease to the emergence of the transformers that sets up the rest of the film quite well. Shia is relatable and likable and the movie is hilarious when it wants to be. Action is stellar.
