one of the most remarkable looking films I've ever seen. just insane light and composition. the looming shadows, the alleyways bathed in light, the dutch angles were truly wonderful to look at (oh, and the shapes the ferris wheel scaffolding made!). in addition, it did the reversal of villain from the cop to lime was very well done. finally, the sewer chase (cf. the fugitive?) and the ferris wheel scene were so great.
