The Brutalist 2024
Brief moments of beauty among heaps of hollowness. Felt like watching a “production” in that there were many scenes that served as nothing more than what boils down to documentation of a moving company packing and unpacking. Back and forth we go doing tasks while nothing of importance is happening outside of the frame... but this is a lot of movies of Great Magnitude these days. Moments of intimacy felt strange, the whole thing didn't go deep enough despite the runtime and fumbled around toward the end.
Ok, this sounds bad, but the movie was still very nice and worth watching, especially for the first half!
