Heretic 2024
An interesting premise but ultimately flawed as it didn’t seem to know itself what the complete message was. Hugh Grant was great and creepy as fuck. A bit too obvious with some of it’s ‘Chekov’s gun’ camera cuts (yes we all saw the letter opener, multiple times, don’t worry).

A massive ‘fuck you’ to the viewing audience, ‘this is what you wanted huh?’ .. I mean, yeah I guess. I guess that makes me the bad guy. Presumably I wasn’t meant to find Paul cute but the way he addressed me directly wasn’t helping.

My favourite film. The debut from Larry Clarke and Harmony Korine. Terrifier 3 2024
This really didn’t work for me, killing a main character off screen and making Art a secondary villain in the 3rd act ruined it. A dud of a sequel baiting ending too. Take out the shower scene and the Santa bar scene (neither of which really pushed forward the main narrative) and you’ve got very little left.. disappointing
