  Re-watched this while filing in Stevensville, MT. I had to hold back tears a few times (don't cry in front of the office!). The Japanese pilots saluting Jim amidst the fiery plane was deeply moving.

  Also, the scene of the mothers room, makeup, and the drag marks might have been one of the most artistic and tasteful scenes I've ever seen.

  The movie deserves the $1.2B it's made.

  And, yes, I shaved into a mustache afterward.

  PROS
  - Tight Script: The unsung hero of this movie. Notice, the movie ratches up the stakes every 20 or so minutes and effectively demonstrate how difficult the mission is. What's more, is that our pilots fail constantly when preparing for it. It begs the question: "can our heroes actually do it?"
