  A lot less about ‘being a housewife’ than I expected. Jeanne isn’t even a housewife par excellence—without a husband and making her own money as a sex worker—but she is invested in appearing as such in some sense. Better this way imo.

  Just a bizarre movie. made some great comments on teaching history/literature but the way abuse is brushed over is so gross?? I had a teacher like irwin in high school (did not accept advances from students!) so it was weirdly relatable in a lot of parts. I feel like a coming of age in school setting through the lens of intellectual growth is so underdone and personally very relatable. also I have no understanding of the British school system so it was surreal all the way through.
