Your Name. 2016
By far one of the most beautiful films of its genre, Your Name is a story that unites two different lifestyles of Japan. The film's non-linear story presents the audience with clues later revealed as the movie progresses, creating a sense of awe as more revelations are made. The heart-felt story although quite emotional, is hindered by the cultural knowledge the film presents. More western audiences may have a harder time understanding the signifigance of themes or items shown which play important parts in the film.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off 1986
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a light hearted and enjoyable movie. Throughout the film it references many pop culture items in which we can relate with. Ferris’s narration, which breaks the fourth wall, provides a sense of fun which brings the audience back to there childhood. However, the overarching message the film conveys to believe in oneself is well knitted with the humorous tone the trio of character brings to the screen. Overall, the post-modernist film created by John Hughes is a wholesome film in which friends and families are able to get a laugh over.
