I first watched this in year 6 and maybe again later in my teen years - watched it this evening with a friend (her first viewing) and it’s true that nobody can ever truely be happy but also damn these people are crazy to be so twisted up in each other. Vox Lux 2018
You know I’ve seen this film about 15 times and each time ... it evolves. Like a painting that watches you as you cross a room this movie speaks to something else with each watch. The mistake I first made watching it was holding Celeste up to a standard of lady Gaga or Madonna when really she is uniquely propelled into stardom and then from then on she’s a public figure full stop... always a joy to watch her unravel and these days I sing along to the concert, I’m the girl with a sequin face in the audience or the eyeliner and sequined jacket
