  from a gay-coded character being one of the leads to famous ukrainian actors and singers to typical careless 2000s misogyny to split-second russian flag jumpscare in the end. it is a fitting ending; a sobering reminder and a death sentence to the intoxicating naive optimism the movie is full of. with its main message being "ehh nothing is as bad as it seems, it's all going to figure itself out" it's seriously unbelievable how badly the film keeps aging.

  but i can't lie, i enjoyed the feeling of derealization it induced. hell yeah brother.

  - CARDINAL sir! permission to LIB OUT 🗣️ !? permission GRANTED
  - please do NOT look up spoilers... its ok if you've seen some but it's way funnier Trust
  - "the purpose of a system is what it does" was not in the movie but i am thinking abt it rn
  - old men crying and being thoughtful very much a big part of this movie so you could be bored…
