  rating/reviewing a movie like this is hard;
  bc, did i like it? no. i kinda hated everything that was happening the whole time. (Ryan Gosling—ew—nearly as slimy as Harry Styles in Don’t Worry Darling)

  but, did i cry more than i ever have watching a movie? yes. yes i did.

  so, i guess watch if you want/need to cry??

  first of all, Tilda Swinton supremacy.
  second, Dakota Johnson slayed; absolutely earned her role of Mother. 

  i liked this way more than i was expecting. the basement scene will live in my head for quite sometime—a good example of why the color red is so aesthetically superior. 

  i enjoy when a movie (like this) makes me confused as to what i’m supposed to be feeling… like do i laugh? cringe? cry? all three at the same time? was…
