this was a weirdly beautiful and disturbing movie imo. I didn’t expect it to hit as hard as it did, especially with the amount of cannibalism that was hidden from me considering i have never watched the trailer. the crazy thing about it is that it’s done in a way that’s oddly emotional, like the characters are just looking for a place where they fit in, even if it means giving in to their dark urges. whenever maren bit that girls finger off after only 7 minutes of the movie. i knew this was about to be dark. still a good movie though.
