A LEAP was made from the previous movie, this was so good. I think what helped was that shadow’s presence and backstory in the movie really brought some needed seriousness to a franchise that I feel suffers from being a bit too cringe sometimes (tbf it’s a franchise for young kids today, but sonic was a very big part of my childhood). I cried immensely throughout the movie, and the eventual sonic and shadow team up with Live and Learn in the background had an amazing payoff. Really hoping the next one is as easy to watch as this one was.

Camera work and fight choreography pops off and there’s the added bonus of Clancy Brown, Rina Sawayama and Hiroyuki Sanada being in the movie. :)
