This movie is a LIAR.
I wanted alien creatures and space fights. Instead I got existentialist themes of inevitability when the main character foresees her grief-filled future and still chooses to follow that path because she believes there’s still happiness to be found. WTF!!!!!
Anyway, 10/10.
I had the book when I was younger. Still have it somewhere. I don’t remember connecting with it very much as a kid and the same goes for the movie.
Now that a few years have past however, I find that if I think too hard about either I become emotional. This movie means a lot to me.
