  so so so so so good. a few too many "literally me" moments. i just saw some Roman Roy in there which made me not think that highly of Culkin's acting, but he's great, as is Eisenberg.

  it's also sad af that one of my main thoughts was admiring how everything looked so real, colorful and alive. we're really at a point where shooting on-location is something impressive lmfao.

  love how many metaphores and analogies the people I watched the movie with came up with. that's cinema.

  and it's all caused by water, a capybara, a lemur, a secretarybird, a golden retriever and a cat. peak, sadly.

  it pains me deeply how, despite all of the things Scorsese says about cinema, emotion, life and this world's existence and our part in it, he manages to somehow waste over 200 minutes of film by telling absolutely nothing of significance.

  this is the same Scorsese movie I've seen for the umpteenth time, but with no depth in any character whatsoever, an atrocious pacing and an editing that I hated. not even solid acting saves this one.
