gaslighting myself into becoming a film bro 😎

As someone raised in a super religious household and is an avid fan of horror,, this movie was great.

I think there's 3 main ways to interpret this movie:
1. The literal way -- A film about an evil athiest who abducts 2 young girls
2. Hugh grant's character as a metaphor for religion/control and the girls represent the people (especially women/girls) who are trapped in that system
3. A cautionary tale on how anti-athiests who prioritise intellectual superiority/attacking…
As an Egyptian gay I thoroughly enjoyed the Egyptian gay subplot
