Jim McAllister’s monologue at the end of the film is one of the most pathetic self-copes I’ve ever heard. I cannot believe this movie was entirely about how he voluntarily blew up his marriage, career, and reputation because he was scared that he wouldn’t be able to keep his hands to himself if Tracy won. And then even when she didn’t, he still managed to fuck everything up for himself anyways. What a fucking loser. I’d protect Tracy and Tammy with my life.
