Terrifier 2016
*Disclaimer, not a horror movie buff.
I feel that they went a little over the top with the gore but it’s been a while since I’ve wanted a movie to end because the tension would not let up and the plot kept making it worse and worse for the main cast. Imo, they nailed Art as a horror villain. He felt like a combination of two personal favorite horror icons; Jeepers Creepers and Jason (with a little Kruger humor). Speak No Evil 2024
While the acting was great (McAvoy and the child actors stood above everyone) there was little to no tension from this ‘suspense’ film until the final 20-30 minutes of the movie which were the best scenes in the film. Also, revealed a couple of really key plot points in the trailer that kind of soured the moment during viewing.
