The Zone of Interest 2023
One way I think it captured the mundanity of evil was through the lack of explicit talk about the Jewish question or the final solution. It’s only mentioned once or twice between two characters. This lack of outward hatred made what was happening in the camp seem so much more muted and mundane. The characters just chillin in their garden with faint screams in the background.
Amazing sound also.

Ok, most of this movie makes no fucking sense and each event that happens could be so easily avoided. At a certain point I just had to consciously stop criticizing the absurdities and accept what I was being showed. That being said, Jason Bateman is so unbelievably goated. He bumps this movie up a half-star fr.
