Joker: Folie à Deux is a chaotic symphony of great solo performances, beautiful cinematography/ art direction by Phillips, a familiar haunting score paired with a plot that goes nowhere, redundant political commentary on crime and mental health, a stagnant set of characters with no direction or goals, misplaced & often awkward musical pieces, disjointed ideas, and an ending that essentially disowns its predecessor and deconstructs the transformative character of Arthur to The Joker.

Embrace of the Serpent 2015
Accidentally watched this movie with no prior knowledge of it’s existence, ended up really liking it. Definitely has that Film Festival template of directing, but genuinely nice pacing and great use of B&W. Establishing shots of its location are beautiful, the personifying elements of nature are done well, and the cast is amazing, everything felt natural which supports its themes well.
