This had a lot of potential and was a fun watch, but fell a little short for me when it came to really fleshing out the story. Felt a little too “The Menu meets Midsommar.” That said, I’m pretty much guaranteed to like anything Ayo Edebiri is in. And it doesn’t hurt that John Malkovitch is slaying every moment he’s on screen.
