Alien: Romulus 2024
i called it when i said that having a cast of names you don't recognize in an established franchise works. practical effects are the most effective avenue of showing how much heart is put into a film. great script (for horror), set pieces play into the tension terrifically, and a lurching third act make this movie almost perfect. would have liked a bit more explanation during the middle third of the movie (as this movie tries to appeal to both casual and hardcore audiences)
