My first review in over 6 months?? Let’s see if I can write something coherent.
If I had to describe this movie in one word, it would be “uncomfortable” (not a bad thing!).
Myrtle is a deeply damaged person, and it was so difficult to watch her spiral out of control. People would comment on her mental and emotional state but continue to push her over the edge. I guess that it reflects “ the show must go on” mentality in…Translated from by -
Elvis 2022
A movie about Elvis couldn’t have been done any other way.
Before watching this movie, my perception of Elvis was shaped less by his music and more by some of the more gimmicky aspects of his persona. (“thank you, thank you very much”, Las Vegas, his appearance, etc).
But spending 2 hours and 40-something minutes of watching Elvis’s life unfold in vibrant, vivid color and sound changed that. This sounds cheesy, but I left the theater with a better understanding…Translated from by
