I'm left feeling disturbed, confused, and hypnotized.
Kurosawa's visual language: long takes reminiscent of Spielberg's camera ballet, Cure feels like a play at times with its careful blocking. I feel myself drawing parallels between this film and Bong Joon-Ho's Memories of Murder.
The sound design is minimal but striking, working in tandem with the perfect cuts to create a state both dreamlike and nightmarish.
