  4.5 stars for the captivating story, acting, and cinematography. the film also gives insight into the initial appeal of a jewish state post-war. just difficult to appreciate independent of modern context.

  I’m only writing this to say what a disappointing film this was. had such high expectations going into it. I was obsessed with natasha romanoff in iron man 2008 as a kid and genuinely prayed for ages that she’d get her own solo film. then they made this shit!! really great actors were squandered by a lame, underwhelming storyline. the dialogue felt lazy and artificial. don’t even get me started on the shoddy CGI and random things getting blown up…
