    4.5/5 for what the film intends to be and the shrewd way it conveys that intention in.

    Past Lives is cinema at its most profound peak.

    A simple story about providence, personhood and past relatedness, presented in a movingly poignant format, accompanied by a deeply somber score and a mosaic of ordinarily exquisite -scapes.

    In truth, the exceptionality of it lies in the core simplicity of it, with which it portrays the humbleness and humanness of its characters.

    I also loved how the film employs the concept of indigeneity as a metaphor for multiple layers of reconnection!

    All in all, a beautiful thing to experience!
