Bicycle Thieves 1948
this film is shot in black and white and most scenes to show time has passed or just simply moving location is shown by fading out almost like skipping ahead in time. This creates more of a moving feeling or someone retelling the story and leaving out "boring details". The camera is mostly still with minimal panning and shot in a wide shot. During conversations its mostly kept at a medium wide shot and shot back and forth between the people speaking instead of typical over the shoulder.
