It’s fun to see Hugh Grant play the antagonist of a horror. All around the acting was great (shout out to Topher for his small contribution). As the title implies, religion is the most prominent theme of the film which may frighten off some, but I was impressed with how the writing took an angle that really walked the line between a rudimentary and an overly cerebral discussion of general theological concepts. This movie falls under the “fun movie” category for me. That’s to say, it’s not winning any awards, but I can allow myself to be entertained in the moment of watching it. You may need to suspend your beliefs in reality a bit while watching it, but do you really need to be a cynic all your life? No! That’s why you sat on the couch and decided to watch a FUN MOVIE.
