Good stuff. A film with texture and weight. Interesting, messy politics. Emotion. The epic scenes of sparks flying and soaring architecture and upside down statues of liberty, contrasted with period -specific depictions of drug addiction, pornography, fuckin jazz. It felt like that magical combination of really lived life but also larger than life life on the big screen.
