  Very enjoyable watch! I appreciate the whimsy that Bong Joon-Ho’s English language films have, but I always leave the experience wishing there was more bite to the social critiques he focuses on

  Maybe freedom begins with remorse.

  
  Such an aesthetically and emotionally beautiful meditation on masculinity and ego. Not so much a story of yearning but of ugly desire for youth, camaraderie, recognition. 

  Also, what a textural treat! The landscape shots of the deserts and coasts of Djibouti were so breathtaking - I could’ve easily enjoyed more. The use of film scratches was also v yummy and thought provoking.
