  Yeah this shit is bonkers in all the good ways. Very glad I saw this in theaters, and I don’t say that often. Clear sense of direction throughout and hammers home its message. Cronenberg Barbie is probably the best way I’ve heard it described. Definitely a must-watch this year.

  Lots of interesting ideas, but doesn’t land the plane. The direction is not where you would hope for it to go given the premise and really falls apart in the third act. Still worth a watch for Hugh Grant’s performance alone and there are some genuinely solid moments, but I’d wait for it to come to streaming.

  Damn. This really made me understand the legend that is Meryl Streep and miss Philip Seymour Hoffman. Their performances carry this movie and it’s like watching two heavyweights duke it out on screen.

  This is the first movie I’m reviewing on this app, because it brings up such intense feelings in the worst way possible. The third act is an abomination from an already mediocre movie topped off with the cheesiest, first-year film student, garbage ending scene. I don’t know how actors continue to sign up to work with David O. Russell with his reputation, and I hope they stop after seeing this. This was the biggest waste of talent since the ‘04 Lakers.

Following
