  Mandatory viewing whenever a film is distributed by a24, caught Past Lives by the projector. Entered not knowing what the film is about, left feeling clueless by the endless possibilities of life. Let me get into it.

  This quote by Alfredo in the film cuts deep for me. As someone who always romanticize life & see it as film, it got to me. When my friend,Zachary first told me to watch this film, he told me that the base premise of about a small kid with a glorious childhood & his love for films.   Babylon, to simply put is Damien Chazelle’s love letter to the cinema, but a vengeful letter to Hollywood. To all the terrible reviews I’ve read, it almost feels antithetical to say the least that I’ve throughly enjoyed the film.
