The Seed of the Sacred Fig 2024
I think it’s a good film that effectively portrays the inner conflict and spiritual turmoil of being part of the system in Iran while facing a moral crossroads. It also highlights how blind faith can lead to deep insecurities. However, I believe it is a work made primarily for Iranians, as its narrative might be difficult to fully grasp for those outside of Persian culture.

The Substance 2024
The cinematography of the film and the performances of the two lead actors were truly incredible. The influence of The Platform was certainly felt, and I personally enjoyed seeing that inspiration.
