  I've always liked films that felt like there were little gingerbread crumbs subtly scattered in every scene — and "5 Easy Pieces" felt very much like that. While the characters aren't much to write home about, we've seen these types in other films (notwithstanding Jack Nicholson's acting chops to breathe life into any erratic and impassioned role), it's the eerie and almost elusive way of introducing that conversation of blue vs. white collar folks that I enjoyed the most.…
