  the real m. night shyamalan twist of this is when you realize the last 80 minutes of the "film" you just watched was actually a vehicle for pointless surface-level christian messaging the whole time.

  take the premise of a great film, remove everything that makes it compelling and nuanced, and you have saltburn, a film does and says nothing. any vague notion of intrigue is only found in what it takes from another film. i find myself wondering who this is even for. go watch the talented mr. ripley.
