I like... movies? I like good movies. But also bad movies.
Movies.
The third act is basically The Expendables, 80s China edition.
Theres a bunch of good in here, Individually each of the stars do their thing and each act has a vibe but the movie as a whole feels incohesive somehow. At times the story was gripping and emotional. At others I didn’t really follow along all too well.
Jackie Chan is awesome. I dug the ost… and lol at the classic Jackie Chan blooper reel.
It opens with boobs, goes into suicide, and then we get to see Mel Gibsons entire naked ass.
Somewhere in the first 30 minutes Danny Glover says "I'm too old for this shit" for the first time. Sir you're going to be alive 40 years from now.
It was a good movie.
I mean… it’s what I thought it was.
Doesn’t put the work in for its payoffs, cuts around any practical effects that might be good, and has a terribly plotted story.
Thinks having a red light and a blue light equals good atmosphere. Desperately wants to be a zombie movie and eschews any logic at all times.
I think you could take the script *and* the not great actors and work it into something half decent and fun but whoever made this certainly wasn’t up to the job.
