    I admire the filmmakers for making a historical film be easy to understood without prior knowledge of the subject. Its take on faith against fate was interesting, especially when the executioner said “Even Jesus Christ was innocent”. There is even one scene where kids are retelling the Spaniard's first arrival in the Philippines and their “religious war” against the Moros, whose lands were stolen by the Christian Spaniards.
