2019Unsettling and unnecessarily explicit. This movie is completely unremarkable in plot and execution. The atmosphere it creates is so lacking. The movie hardly explored any worthwhile metaphors or messages effectively. All it did was subject the viewer to extremely weird and awful violence. It wasn’t even scary... just disgusting. Would not recommend to anyone. The only redeeming qualities are that it was an original idea for a horror movie, and Florence Pugh’s acting was great.
