  I seriously enjoyed this film and after pondering about it, I think I liked it even more. The story, though simple, was gripping till the end. I was very invested in Johan’s character growth and was truly hoping he finds his way out of his mama’s coddling. The ending was bittersweet; Johan’s limp body protecting Arumi’s while shouting for his Mama. It was a fitting goodbye, now he can start his life anew.

  this was definitely a fun piece to watch and so imaginative. At some points, I did find myself getting overwhelm by the many themes; infidelity, superstitions, moving abroad, gender issues. On top of that, the film was also very visually stimulating with the horror elements of the ceiling monster and the drowning room. At the core of it though, i throughly enjoyed Tam’s journey as a character even if the timeline does or does not make sense. Her establishing scenes…
